A secret Grand Jury on WikiLeaks has been active for 1531 days.

WikiLeaks News:
  • In an article on the US State Department's $2.7b funding of military contractor DynCorp in Afghanistan, a WikiLeaks cables is sourced which revealed that DynCorp contractors hired an underage Afghan boy to entertain them.
  • An article on Igor Sechin, chief executive of Russia-owned oil company Rosneft who was recently added to the US list of sanctioned Russian officials, references a WikiLeaks cable in which a US diplomat called Sechin "so shadowy that it was joked he may not actually exist but rather was a sort of urban myth, a bogeyman, invented by the Kremlin to instil fear".

  • Amal Alamuddin, a lawyer for Julian Assange who is currently engaged to actor George Clooney, was praised by Assange as "a friend and a lawyer with a global perspective who is not afraid to deal with corruption of power or to tackle politicised cases".
