Julian Assange News:
  • América Latina en Movimiento published an English version of their interview with Julian Assange on information flow and power.
  • Robert Hannigan, director general of defence and intelligence at the Foreign Office, has been named as the new head of GCHQ. Hannigan was in charge of dealing with Julian Assange's case for the UK Foreign Office.

Chelsea Manning News:
  • Video is available of the April 13 panel with Chelsea Manning's new attorneys, Nancy Hollander and Vincent Ward, and whistleblowers Thomas Drake and Mike German. They discuss the next steps for Manning as she prepares for her appeal at the Army Court of Criminal Appeals.
  • Freedom of the Press Foundation published a letter they received from Chelsea Manning thanking them for their efforts in organizing a fund for a stenographer during her trial.
