A secret Grand Jury on WikiLeaks has been active for 1485 days.

WikiLeaks News:
  • The Guardian published an op-ed by WikiLeaks journalist Sarah Harrison which discusses how Britain is treating journalists as terrorists. She writes how under Schedule 7 of the UK Terrorism Act, her journalistic work with Edward Snowden and at WikiLeaks could be considered a crime.
  • A judge at The Hague has turned down a request from Bosnian Serb politician Radovan Karadzic to investigate whether the US Government intercepted his phone calls with his legal adviser, a claim which was based on WikiLeaks cables detailing interception of other Serbian politicians' phone calls.
  • According to diplomatic sources, major European and Saudi banks have stopped dealing with Sudan due to the risk of violating US sanctions. A cable released by WikiLeaks accused Sudan President Omar al-Bashir of stashing up to $9bn in UK bank accounts.
  • FIFDH hosted a debate on cybersurveillance with Julian Assange, WikiLeaks lawyer Baltasar Garzón, and others. 
  • Former British MP and Cabinet Minister Tony Benn has died at the age of 88. In 2011, Benn gave a speech in defense of WikiLeaks and Julian Assange. There are 68 WikiLeaks documents referencing Tony Benn.
