  • An article in NYTimes looks at the US-Ecuador battle over extraditions, as the US wants Julian Assange who has political asylum from Ecuador, while Ecuador wants the Isaias brothers, two millionaires who were sentenced for embezzlement. The US rejected Ecuador's extradition request for the brothers a year after their relatives donated $90,000 to Obama's re-election campaign.
  • Julian Assange released a short statement in response to Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop calling Edward Snowden "a traitor of the highest order". Assange condemned the comment and said that it "makes Australia look weak, untrustworthy and out of touch".
