WikiLeaks News: 
  • Cryptome published an excerpt from Guardian correspondent Luke Harding's new book, "The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World's Most Wanted Man". The excerpt discusses Edward Snowden's flight from Hong Kong to Russia and WikiLeaks' involvement in it. WikiLeaks' criticized the excerpt for its attempt to remove defenses for Sarah Harrison and Julian Assange.
  • A mural depicting Julian Assange, Chelsea Manning, and Edward Snowden has been created on a wall along Santa Monica boulevard in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.

Julian Assange News:
  • Today marked 600 days since Julian Assange entered the Ecuadorian Embassy. He has not been charged with any crime and the UK continues to refuse him safe passage to Ecuador. For more information on his situation, see Justice for Assange: Extraditing Assange and Julian Assange's affidavit.
  • Baltasar Garzón, lawyer for Julian Assange, commented on Assange's current situation. While grateful for his asylum at the Ecuadorian Embassy, he expressed concern for Assange's condition and inability to go outside.
