  • Updates continue on NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden's situation:
  • DreamWorks' WikiLeaks movie "The Fifth Estate" will open Toronto International Film Festival on September 5, followed by a Q&A with the director and actors. The film has been criticized by WikiLeaks for being inaccurate and hostile toward the organization.

Bradley Manning News:
  • Former State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley condemned the "aiding the enemy" charge against Bradley Manning, saying that it is "eroding the credibility of the U.S. justice system".
  • An article in New Republic says that pardoning Bradley Manning would be an "elegant way out of the leak controversies" for President Obama.
