Bradley Manning has been in prison without sentencing for 1153 days.  
- 20 days into court martial.
Jeremy Hammond has been in prison without sentencing for 504 days. 
A secret Grand Jury on WikiLeaks has been active for 1038 days.


WikiLeaks News:
  • A document released under FOI reveals that Australian diplomats are reporting at length on Bradley Manning's trial and reporting all references to WikiLeaks and Julian Assange back to Canberra.
  • WikiLeaks Press published their first article in a series on the surveillance state
  • A court has denied the use of WikiLeaks cables as evidence in a case regarding a contract for a solar plant in California.
  • WikiLeaks tweeted further comments on DreamWorks' WikiLeaks movie "The Fifth Estate":
    • "Although Dreamworks promo shows 'Fith Estate' as a 'pro' WikiLeaks movie, the synopsis (on right) reveals the truth. That Hollywood feels compelled reframe its hostile movies into positive ones shows which side the population (and hence the market) is on."

Julian Assange News:
  • TNT Magazine published an in-depth interview with Julian Assange, focusing on his Senate run. It reports that Mr Assange's running mate as well as the other WikiLeaks Party candidates will be announced Thursday.
  • OurSay has a forum for asking Julian Assange questions regarding his Senate run and the WikiLeaks Party. Mr Assange will answer the top-rated questions in a Google Hangout on August 20.
  • Julian Assange will be speaking via videolink at OHM 2013 in the Netherlands, July 31 at 22:00. His talk is entitled "WikiLeaks Fights On".
  • Julian Assange will be speaking via videolink at a public forum entitled "Truth-telling: Criminalised by our Government and Suppressed by our Media" in Melbourne, August 8 at 7:00PM. Also speaking will be a yet-to-be-announced WikiLeaks Party candidate and Bill Deller of 3CR Radio.

Bradley Manning News:
  • Bradley Manning's attorney David Coombs commented on the news of PFC Manning being awarded the Sean MacPride Peace Prize:
    • "I wish to thank the International Peace Bureau for awarding the 2013 Sean MacBride Peace Prize to PFC Bradley Manning.  It is indeed a great honor to receive such an award, and for Brad to be considered to be in the same company as past recipients and the award's namesake.  It is my sincere hope that Brad will be able to receive this award in person someday soon."  
  • In response to a series of letters from Kevin Gosztola, The New York Times has corrected its recent erroneous coverage of Bradley Manning's hearing.
  • Musician Richard Ashcroft (lead singer for The Verve) wore a "Free Bradley Manning" shirt while performing at Latitude 2013 in Suffolk, England.

  • The WikiLeaks Party is demanding an investigation Telstra's secret deal with the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice which gave U.S. law enforcement access to all of Telstra's traffic passing in and out of the U.S.
