  • A WikiLeaks cable shows that the Colombian Government wanted to extradite Simón Trinidad (alias of Juvenal Ovidio Ricardo Palmera Pineda) of FARC, despite him facing no charges in the U.S.
  • A WikiLeaks cable discusses an occasion in which then Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi bought Naples' silk scarves for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton . The cable's author observes that Mrs Clinton was "not exactly an admirer of the Italian leader as a person... But she felt bad for Berlusconi the politician, who had been such an ally for the US".
