WikiLeaks has been financially blockaded without process for 779 days.
Julian Assange has been detained without charge for 776  days. 
 - 214 days at the Ecuadorian Embassy.
Bradley Manning has been in prison without trial for 971 days.  
Jeremy Hammond has been in prison without trial for 322 days. 
A secret Grand Jury on WikiLeaks has been active for 856 days.

WikiLeaks News:
  • WikiLeaks sent out a series of tweets regarding Aaron Swartz:
    • Due to the investigation into the Secret Service involvement with Aaron Swartz we have decided to disclose the following facts:
    • 1. Aaron Swartz assisted WikiLeaks.
    • 2. Aaron Swartz was in communication with Julian Assange, including during 2010 and 2011.
    • 3. We have strong reasons to believe, but cannot prove, that Aaron Swartz was a WikiLeaks source.
  • In response to the above claims, Emptywheel published an article about the possibility that the U.S. Government tried and failed to establish a criminal connection between WikiLeaks and Aaron Swartz. Previously, they had written about Aaron's FOIA requests on Bradley Manning.
  • WikiLeaks legal adviser Jennifer Robinson tweeted that WikiLeaks appears in "Dirty Wars", a documentary which premiered at Sundance. Ms Robinson commented, "evidence again of the public interest in the material published [by WikiLeaks]".
  • A preview of Alex Gibney's film "We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks" is available on Youtube. The film is premiering at Sundance on January 21. WikiLeaks previously stated that they refused to cooperate with the film in anyway.
  • The Verge interviewed Andy Greenberg, author of "This Machine Kills Secrets", about the history of leaking, WikiLeaks, and the cypherpunk movement.

Julian Assange News:
  • 8-year old Robin Bachmann, son of "Assassinate Assange" actress Mel Kretschmann, drew a picture of his plan to airlift Julian Assange out of the Ecuadorian Embassy and sent it to Mr Assange for Christmas.

Bradley Manning News:
  • The Young Turks discussed how Bob Woodward, who has leaked Top Secret classified information, has not been prosecuted as Bradley Manning has, who only is accused of leaking Secret information.
  • A fake Twitter account for Denise Lind, the judge presiding over Bradley Manning's case, has been created. The account has been praising PFC Manning's actions.
