WikiLeaks News:
  • WikiLeaks released all emails (7,811) from the Syrian Public Establishment for Road Communications, which is the tenth large group of Syria Files released in the past week, totaling over 130,000 emails.  
  • Stratfor emails released by WikiLeaks show that in 2007 the Bush Administration and CIA told the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to back off from a drug trafficking investigation of Afghan President Hamid Karzai's half-brother.
  • WikiLeaks cables reveal that the Uzbek National Security Service interrupted a visit by a US embassy officials to a Technological Institute in Bukhara.
  • WikiLeaks GI Files show that U.S Embassy staff in Venzuela was told to break the law in order to exchange currency in the black market.
  • Newly disclosed documentation shows that Cubic Corporation has a direct connection to TrapWire, the mass surveillance system detailed in WikiLeaks' GI Files.
  • Forbes' Andy Greenberg appeared on RT America to discuss how WikiLeaks has changed the face of whistleblowing, in light of his new book "This Machine Kills Secrets".

Julian Assange News:
  • Julian Assange's lawyer Baltasar Garzon will formally ask U.S. Attorney General Holder next week about what crimes Mr Assange is accused of.

Bradley Manning News:
  • The U.S. Army recommended that journalists file FOIAs for Bradley Manning court files. Truthout's Jason Leopold did so, and posted his response which states, "It has been recommended by our legal office to withhold any information pertaining to this case, because this is still an ongoing case".
  • The September 30 event "Bradley Manning: Truth on Trial", featuring Chris Hedges, Thomas Drake, Jesselyn Radack, Col Ann Wright, and David House, will be livestreamed. It begins at 5PM in Washington D.C. (10PM London time, 7AM October 1 Sydney time).
