WikiLeaks News:
  • WikiLeaks released all emails (1,214) from the E-government initiative in Syria, which is the seventh large group of Syria Files released in the past week.
  • WikiLeaks released new GI Files on CIA monitoring of Facebook and Twitter, oligarchs and Russian interests, and more.
  • A former senior Egyptian military official denied that Egypt had a contingency plan to sabotage the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which was a claim made in Stratfor emails released by WikiLeaks.
  • A public meeting entitled "WikiLeaks, Ecuador, and Free Speech" will be held at the Resistance Centre in Melbourne, September 25 from 6:30PM. The event is organised by Green Left Weekly and Socialist Alliance, and Sam Castro and Fred Fuentes will be speaking.

Julian Assange News:
  • A condom used as evidence in the case against Julian Assange does not contain his DNA, which his lawyers say indicates the evidence has been faked.
  • Fashion designer Vivienne Westwood handed out "I'm Julian Assange" t-shirts to those in the front row of her show held at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The phrase on the shirts likely originated from Ms Westwood's statement read in front of the Ecuadorian Emabssy.
  • IndieWire reviewed Australian TV movie "Underground: The Julian Assange Story" saying it gives a "lean, compact look at the early life" of the WikiLeaks founder.
