  • More pretrial hearings in Bradley Manning's case began today and will last the rest of the week.
    • Manning's defence lawyer, David Coombs, published a discovery motion which seeks 1,290 emails regarding to Bradley's confinement at Quantico Marine Base.
    • Around 600 emails between commanding officers at Quantico were handed over to the defence by the Government. The defence is still arguing for the remaining emails requested in the motion.
    • On September 14, the government is to turn over remaining above secret CIA, DIA, ODNI, and State Department materials to court for classified discovery.
    • The U.S. Government will be sending out a questionnaire in September to potential panelists for a jury in Manning's trial.
    • Future dates scheduled for further proceedings in Manning's case: October 1-5, October 29-November 2, December 10-14.
